Chinese culture is very old, diverse, and unique. The Chinese culture has survived and evolved for thousands of years. They created several ideologies like Yin and Yang and the mandate of Heaven(which they lived very close to). With these ideologies came different ways the government governed. Yin and Yang was taught in schools that paralleled Confucianisms respect for family and legalisms harsh laws.
Yin and Yang was a belief ideology of the Chinese and was a good and evil, male and female, or cause and effect kind of ideology.

Confucius lived from 551-479 bce. He was Chinese teacher, editor, and politician. He avoided religion but he did later form the core texts of Chinese education. He valued ren(kindness, benevolence), li(propriety), xiao(filial piety), and goal was cultivation of junzi(ideal leaders). Confucius's views were later turned into Confucianism which later was the beliefs the Chinese pole and government followed. He beliefs didn't become Confucianism until after Confucius's death.
